As a die hard fan of these and also I wanted to serve these in a party I was hosting, did some research and this is my conclusion - 

These are popular, but only among Hyderabad/ few Telangana areas... 

Supply is limited and so is demand...

Only one or two grocery stores or vendors prepare them and they fixated on this price - across USA I'd say.

Pay and enjoy....

Or - if you have restaurant supplies contact - get a frozen box ( it has 110 or 125 I believe ) and fry it yourself.
