since you are coming from MSBI, I would recommend get very strong in SQL, we all think we are good at it but we don’t know until we practice. 

after that learn Python , if you learn pandas it will be a easy ramp up to write pyspark code.

third is spark , since you are in Microsoft stack azure Databricks can be a natural expression.

depending on your experience and what companies you are trying we can find tune this.
