I have a colleague from local city who would give me 2 days company, rest 4 days I have to be on my own. having a local friend helps a lot ... get to know the areas to avoid ... try to wear fake gold ornaments ... as robberies of visitors is very common ... so even if stolen ... not to worry .. dont carry passports in bags while roaming ... if bags are stolen ... hard to recover passports ... better stay at hilton or marriot that are safe to stay n no robbery while u go for local tour ...
