Been to NYC almost 13 years ago with roomies but first time with wife...JFK lo rental car theesukuntunna but will be back to NYC Friday evening...city tours, night time emaina manchi night clubs, hotels/restaurants unte cheppandi..dhandam, pedatha..

time square is over hyped...not worth...

central park lo..bicycles rent ki teeesukuni...oka round eyyandi...

down town lo..china town..Brooklyn bridge...charging bull..etc cover cheyyi...

 

and also...try citi tour travels..which cover bus and boat trip...

2. little island
3. Roosevelt Island

4.Met Museum
5.Broadway shows
6.Madam Tussads at Times Square

7. Highline

8.SoHo

9.Grand Central

10. Empire state Building

11. Rockerfeller center

12.St. Patrick's Cathedral

13. Roam around and shop on 5th ave from 42nd to 55th st.

14. Oculus

15. Memorial

16.Halal guys (only original one at 6th Ave & 53rd st), You can expect long line at any time of the day.

18. Choose one of the rooftops(Empire state, Rockerfeller aka top of the rock, One world observatory, Summit at One Vanderbilt or Edge at  Hudson Yards)

19.Brooklyn Bridge

20. Staten Island Ferry(free) or Liberty Cruises(paid)

and much more......

 

Plan Downtown, midtown on separate days. Midtown can take 2 days easy.

Protip: Its better not to rent a car if you are planning to stay in and around Manhattan/Brooklyn/Jersey City, You can easily spend as much as $50 per day for parking, Better to take subway weekly pass.
