Its not against true love. In true love people trust each other, adjust and take responsibilities (thats how the old generation lived happily with what they have. In the movie, her love is  towards his status and wealth, not on him. So his argument is correct. Even though he get married to her, nana gadidhi chakiri chesi sukha pettali, instead of that bandedu kattello kaladam better. when there is no true love, marriage doesnt make any sense.
