I think its more than appropriate to dump me and a bunch of people as a shareholder. Sorry for the others like me this week. Accept it and enjoy it as we get paid to take a break.

The privacy division is just stupid. They hired over 100 people to maintain a tool that sends tasks to developers that basically does nonsense work. I dont blame the people but the regulatory team that allows countries to put dumb regulations just on us.

And lets talk metaverse. This is also dumb. I've used it. Its just a glorified gaming platform. Stop acting like its the new internet. Its competing with incumbents like XBox , PS2 which are way way better gaming experience and much much faster. Its a niche product which will never ever get to 30B sales in its whole lifetime even in the next 50 years.

The headcount growth is dumb. In my team there are a bunch of E6 data engineers who basically build dashboards and unnecessarily complex data models. Data science dudes are not bad but again the problem is that the things they work on are not useful. Management wants super complex analysis to help them make decisions which is dumb as data paints a very very small picture and maybe even a wrong picture if used incorrectly. The problem is that in the pursuit of being data driven, we hired idiots who have no biz understanding and no biz acumen skills.

Anyway, im done with my rant. Waiting for my severence package and all my devices and emails to be turned off.

  This morning at 7am EST. I assume you are making like 800k and doing really well and have a perfect life ? Good for you. You guys have XBox and Azure which are absolute money making cows. unlike meta.

Meta is a mess. This will be another Yahoo in next 5 to 10 years. FB is crap. Their UI has not been improved much in last 15 years. And whatever the minor improvements they have done has impacted the performance and the new generation kids don't prefer to use it. Their Insta has turned into low quality TikTok.

Most likely this is just a post from META HR/PR... this is new normal for PR/HR to post things on Social media and misdirect the general population and employees. Sort of justification why upcoming layoffs are valid.

every compnay has a team to post things on social media ( reddit,Blind,LinkedIn,Fb,insta,snapshot,tiktok ,twitter etc..) . I have seen similar stuff in my company meetings they will post a survey in live meeting and it was obvious that the MD of our branch or his chamchas were posting nice stuff about the branch. Everyone was like " WTF!!!" 

just like political IT cells.... it has become so hard to identify which is fake and which is real.

this is same strategy used by govt to dump several ridicuouls rumours ( consipiracy theories) on public to coverup which one is true.

we are doomed !!
