First time H4 to first time H1 visa stamping before entering USA

I've recently got first time H4 stamping done in India and yet to enter USA. Just got to know my H1B is approved. Now can I again attend H1B interview and come to USA on H1B ? What happens to my H4 visa stamp if for some reason my H1B interview is rejected ? Experts, please help.

You can come on H4 visa and work on H1-B after entering US. Getting a visa appointment and stamping can take more time. you can decide
