Nope doesn't look like it. You can turn off autopilot just by a tap on the break.

Teslas are one of the most safest cars especially during crash, I accept that there are anamolies for some vehicles which is common for almost all the OEMs.

Its CEO making a clown of himself online means Tesla will face a larger scrutiny of its issues. since they are eager to brush aside everything under 'drivers fault'.

Its highly unlikely that the driver pushed the accelerator for 25s+ while having the presence of mind to swerve around a rider at the beginning.
