India travel - Child passport expiration

Child US passport is expiring in 3 months but have to travel India early next month. Will it cause a problem at India immigration and also at US on return. Do airlines accept ..

anyone faced this before

I think min 6 months vundali. International travel kadha so airlines may not allow. visa 3 months only  vunna they will allow but not passport validity.

try to get it processed fast if you can else postpone the trip

Pls check with air lines.. my daughter passport also valid for 5 months. Emirates allowed, as per emirates rules - passport should be valid until return ticket time.

bro which state are you in? in and around houston lo aithe cities lo passport appointments dorkatledhu.. but if you are ok to drive 1-2 hours into smaller towns akkada next day ki kuda appts dorkuthunnai.. and expedited processing ki $60 kadthe less than 3-4 weeks lo passport osthundi

You can renew US passport 6 months early. Online lo cheyyochu oka sari chudu. Renewal ki hardly 3 weeks la ochesthadi… time untey renew cheyyu …

US em anaru but transit countries and fcuking Indian immigration might create issue sometimes. Aa Indian immigration lo half knowledge fellows untaru appudappudu

Not a problem. We went in June when child's passport expiring in September. In India at immigration they looked at passport expiry date and said please pay attention to passport expiry date. I said the child will come back to USA in August. Kid came back in August. No one had any questions.

Renewals taking close to a month or more than a month. We applied on October, still had not received the new passport.

Normally expedite takes 3-5 weeks antaru but comes within 3 weeks.

If u have ticket then they give passport before 3 days - i took in Philly -- paid 100 - got next day..

For now submitted with expedited passport .. thanks for all inputs. Will see if I get before travel
