What is the benefit of hospital indemnity

Do we need hospital indemnity plan if we have insurance already? How does it work different to insurance

Medical and hospital  coverages are two different plans. Hospital indemnity plan is for all coverage costs in the hospital for treatment, admission and surgeries. Hospital indemnity and critical illness are two separate coverages 🙄. how much are you paying for a monthly

You need to stay atleast 8 hours in hospital for any procedure to qualify … daughter was in there for 4-5 hours .. and we did not qualify .. 3-4 k bill

@lungilingaraju good to know. I think this would be beneficial if we have surgery, serious illness and for pregnancy for women.

i had this plan during my wife delivery and it will reimburse per day hospital cost upto certain amount...

Pregnancy, not sure .. talk to your provider before you enroll ..

This has nothing to do with insurance.

 

THe one we took, they give $2000 for every hospitalization (24 hours?) and then add $200 for every day in the hospital.

One day: $2000 + $200

2 days: $2000 + $200 + $200

 

up to 10 days

How hard is to submit the claim?

I just came to know we need to use at least 10 months to use this coverage
