To be fair most of banglore has not been historically kannada dominant place , it always had significant Tamil population and decent Telugu population 

These local sentiment feelings started arising because Karnataka is extremely underdeveloped outside Bengaluru due to corrupt state leaders 

Most of the kannada people who missed out on development after 1990's want to blame someone for their backwardness and the politicians directed that to so called "outsiders" in Bengaluru
