Ok let me answer seriously , no this won't replace software engineering in very near future, infact it only use already existing code and provide solutions based on those existing models. Many times this will be good but not all tomorrow's problems exist today to solve by chatgpt. Again , it can't solve a problem if it is not addressed already. This is similar to GitHub copilot (for software engineering) but can be helpful for other area's like media/research etc to only speed up things ( based on current capabilities)

Don't just be fooled by all these videos bro , GitHub copilot also do it , but chatgpt is more human like response with more data models.

yaa we discussed about co pilot in one of thread spartan or somebody esadu , but who knows where this is heading to it might not happen immediately 

Imagine earlier teams 6 years back in traditional model

dev , QA, Automation, production support, production engineering and son 

now they made almost like pod teams

DEV will write all automation , devops pipeline scripts (with minimal platform team support) , production engineering is gone with alerts monitoring into DNA of dev, gone are QA automation etc 

with click of button you are getting a fully loaded machine with Ami 

It might be just beginning as you said its on trained model

No, software jobs will last to get automated.
