Udemy courses go on sale for 10-15 dollars every couple of weeks. You just have to keep watching out and wait.

Even if they are not on sale, sometimes they offer sale prices after login as "Long term learner discount"

They follow all the tactics to maximize their revenue. Nothing wrong with that. People who don't know about sale prices, buy at full price.
