The man dressed up as Santa Claus was distributing chocolates in a colony in Makarpura when this incident occurred. He had gone to the colony to meet and greet some members of his community who stayed there. 

Christian community members approached the police Tuesday night after the incident and sought security for any procession they might take out in the area
