Try hot milk with turmeric,  this helps for soar throat and cough. Drink luke warm water with little salt. Also miriyala rasam and tomato soup helps. 

Body needs more water during flu

chesevalu evaru lekapothe koncham kashtam avthundhi bro...body lo energy undi saavadhu emaina chesukundham ante...although I had my wife with me, we both were sick including my son...inka thanu kuda sick, so couldn't ask her anything to do for me..
