Parents and in laws will be here for long term ? And they visit very frequently? If yes then minivan is best , full size suv or 7 seater will be very tight . 
 

if it’s temporary then may be a monthly rental is better option for your wallet .

update once you buy one please. I am also looking.  I am looking pilot 23 , Telluride 23.  Less preferring Minivan due to the way they drive, and I feel Honda Pilot has decent size for 3rd row as well and has 8/7 covertable seat option . very compelling to me but going to cost around 50K

Rent ante waste anipistundi..cant rent every time..they wll be here every other yr..and long run lo manak kuda use aithadi ga ani thinking

Minivan is easy to drive than Pilot...main reason height of the vehicle. If you are short, driver seat entha high chesina, SUV's are taller than minivans so ground clearance kanipinchadu....Minivans length wise ekkuva but this shouldnt be much of a problem, but height is definitely a prob for many
