for California weather I feel it is heavy and I have to wear something like a down sweater/sweatshirt underneath if I travel to Tahoe or something but really feel it is heavy. 

do you guys have a similar story about leather jackets and do you still wear it?

are those full grain leather or faux leather; kenneth cole di faux leather jacket koninude sams lo I threw it off after some years of use as the  layer was peeling off of it. but real leather jackets goes long way provided they are neatly maintained.
