NBA star Steph Curry launches opposition to housing for the poor on site near his multi-million dollar home in Atherton

NBA star Steph Curry issued an official opposition to the development of a row of affordable housing units that are slated to be build behind his multi-million dollar mansion.

The Golden State Warriors star and his wife, Ayesha, sent a letter to the town of Atherton opposing the project, which would see up to 16 three-story townhouses spring up in the middle of his uber-wealthy California neighborhood.

 

The Currys said the housing project would pose as a threat to 'safety and privacy' of them and their kids, nothing that the location and height of the townhouses residents leering views into their $31million mansion.

Their neighbors have also spoken out against the project, with some saying building affordable-minded homes in a town where single acres go for $8million made no sense.

Reality is they are not even housing homeless there. Just making way for more townhomes than multi million dollar mansions, so people can afford actual homes. He is a hypocrite who wants to preserve his privilege anthe.

True..agree with you...but also safety should also be considered...some of these kinds of homes are allocated to drug addicts/alcoholics who are into rehabs...and also these homes might be considered as halfway homes mostly for felons...considering all these in mind, they are doing the right thing...

no they are not allocating them to Safe houses or even homeless. Just the owner instead of building a mansion, he is building townhomes to sell from my understanding. It is not even low income housing. Just by Atherton standards low anthe. And Stephen Curry is worried that the residents can view his home. And asking to move that to a different address or build high fences. Idhi privilege kaaka enti?

for billionaires -> millionairs -> individual house --> townhomes -> affordable housing -> free housing -> homeless -> drug addicts/cannabis stores.

dependind on your status ..you avoid next lower levels.. thats a fact
