AV Receiver recommendation

Hi all,

 

I have a 4K UST projector paired with Yamaha TSR-700 and klipsch dolby atmos speakers. Recently i am seeing an issue where the video freezes when playing 4K content in prime video or hbo max. I read online that yamaha has hdmi motherboard issues as it cannot support hdmi 2.1 . Any one else using 4K projectors and what AV receiver are you using. ?

TBH, you have better luck in avforums.com etc . try search for issue on google and post in forums.

Go with Marantz SR 8015 or Denon 6700H

What is your budget? and total how many channels (5.2.4)?

There are these two options:

Denon AVR S760H - Costco has this, works great around $500.

Marantz came up with new line of AV receivers, Cinema 60 is $1600+ but comes with Pre-outs and has got good reviews.

Both have 4K pass-through with high refresh-rate support, should work with your 4K projector. Check your local AV dealers, you can get deals.
