Teda ippudu minimal undochu in future when date of filing goes beyond certain years and final action date does not reach there and dates reteogreas ayyinappudu this will huge benefits with so many parents with 2015 Jan above pd and kids middle or high school now..I know atleast 20 families who had this fear apart from their regular year to year extensions ..some thing to cheer for them atleast.. when a trouble goes away for their kid it's precious for a parent event some ppl take it as small victory becusse they dont have convert kids h4 to f1 all that trauma goes in middle of undergrad is unimaginable..

let’s say a kid “A”  father got his i140 approved in 2019. Lets say they are from Philippines. On that day of approval kids age is 20 yrs. It took 3 years for it to become current. Now as per old rule, kid can no longer avail benefit of GC since he is already over 21.

But as per new rule, he is still going to get his GC even though his age would be 23. 

so it adds more kids to quota. Until last month,  would have been kicked out after they attain 21 year old 

Does it make sense? Or I’m misunderstanding it.

I thought as soon as they move to F1 or H1 after reaching 21 years,  i140s will be void due to change to non immigrant visa status 

It doesn’t make sense. How can they apply for non immigrant visas then if they already showed immigrant intent and have their i140s approved.

140 is for primary applicant not for kid anna 

kid once he is 21 he will stand on their onw ani they will be not dependants 

you applied 140 , kid and you will apply 485

But in primary applicant i-140, kid will be collateral right.

And if this i-140 is revoked for principal, then their status of the kid is also going to be affected. In a way they already showed immigrant intent.  I hear you and I understand you. But I think there are some loopholes from the USCIS end ani naa pheeling.
