The ministry of mines announcement through the Press Information Bureau said the inferred estimate of lithium had emerged through field investigations since 2018-19 that had also shown possible deposits of gold and other minerals in 11 states. The ministry did not mention the 1999 report by GSI scientists.

Shouldn’t this credit be given to the department that is doing this work instead of the govt in power at that time? BJP leaders and Cong leaders ki enduku credit istunnaru vaa?? 
 

if the found minerals are not put to use, then it is an issue with the govt..

lithium in 1999 does not mean the same as lithium in 2023

Just because there are deposits doesn't mean they can profitably dug out

With the level of concentration, traditional extraction is commercially and environmentally inviable option in J&K. Only option is get DLE technology from countries like China.

In addition mining in J&K is very risky due to high seismic activity causing landslides and ground collapse.

This is Jammu region , very distinct from Kashmir . They sont have much earthquake problems. 

Fun fact the place where these deposit is located is only half the elevation of Bengaluru City from sea level
