Eugenics. Aka selective breeding. It doesn’t make sense. Lack of variety makes the species more vulnerable to extinction.

Every species inherently wants to attain this eugenic situation. All living organisms have an inherent need to mate with only the best.

For instance, let’s say there are three men x,y and z. If given an opportunity all women in a village want to mate with “z” since he is taller and stronger and he is believed to possess better genes. There is no ambiguity in it.  In a way it is justified because they want to have progeny with “z”. In the due process genes of x and y will go extinct due to lack of opportunity.

On the other hand, this monotonous replication can be counterproductive. Especially if those genes from “z” have fatal vulnerability to certain diseases.

In conclusion, eugenics does not make sense. It is an inherent tendency amongst living organisms to mate with the best and yet it’s equally risky to the survival of their species.
