My immigration journey:

I wanted to share my life struggle in usa

2010 - married at 21 and came to usa on H4

2013 - change of status from h4 to F1

2015 - divorce filed by spouse( unexpected) , studying masters

2016 - on F1 opt

2017 - got job and on F1 opt extension

2018 - first time H1 filed but lay off happened . H1 withdrawn by company and on F1 opt ext. Got final divorce

2019 - 2 nd time h1 filed through another company and client did lay off , this time again H1 withdrawn

2019 Sep - joined PhD and now on F1 CPT , got into project but this time H1 didn’t pick

2020 - H1 didn’t pick . On F1 cpt moved to longterm project and got married for second time ( happy partner happy life )

2021 - H1 picked and had rfe . Got approval in November 2021

2022 - Feb my husband’s priority date became current . May, suddenly my client didn’t extend contract and my 60 days grace period started. June H1 revoked . July again I got into project . H1 transferred . August last week got GC interview scheduled and Sep 1st week got gc .

—- my immigration struggle ended in 2022

I always used to feel am unlucky and I need to put extra effort for everything to get whatever I wanted . But I always had hope and now tasting the freedom finally

Marriage to right person didn't happen easily...I had costly lesson called divorce. Then I did date many men and heard lot of character shaming words..it took years to find right partner for myself....thats all different topic. That becomes another top…

Freedom doesn’t lie in paccha card, freedom lies in mind. I know some opt guys running consultancies, and know some business visa holders running business chain here and earning more that IT workers and going back and enjoy in india. 
 

I know a recruiter who worked hard for 3 years in India , started a consultancy in usa with his contacts and take 1 million dollars per year sitting in india.
