India to usa money transfer, anyone did recently

Bank of baroda in my case (or any other bank ) India to usa money transfer cheyyalante bank asking  visa and passport copy of the receiver.

 sending some money around 5k usd.

Anyone did transfer from India recently?

Is this something new?

I never heard so making sure.

I tried with HDFC, ya similar process, need to prove source of money etc etc, very lengthy process with several approvals , finally I didn't do it.

source of income is ok but receiver visa and passport copy kuda adugutunnaru, so is this something same for you

Yes they will ask all details … getting money out of India is tough

Check with ur Frds or Frds Frds who are transferring money to India.. tell them u will give in india and ask them to transfer $ to you .. say u give 20/25 cents extra ani
