Most of the rich People in Hyderabad (or most indian cities tbh) are extremely distant to politics 

The mayors derive their powers from people out of the city than the ones residing in it. So out of touch and unaccountable 

I am willing to bet she became mayor because she is a relative of some politician from outside Hyderabad

Yes most of the rich people in Hyderbad doesn’t need to have empathy for people to win politics, they just know random somebody in politics and win the elections with money and do that only to gain respect in their rich peer circle
