I am using from 3-4 years. Even I don’t maintain any funds no charges were incurred on my account. 

if it is Icici or some other banks you have to maintain 25k INR and opening charges will be there.

Icici was very smooth, submit all documents in email. Within a week account was opened. This was back in 2019

If visa is for longer duration when you open NRI accounts will be easy to open.
