The reasons for India sliding down in the global competitiveness ranking are –

1. Least care for people below poverty line.

2. Rising inflation.

3. Rising fiscal deficit.

People below poverty line: The present Government is working on a vote bank politics. It is not bothered to take care of population below poverty lines and sticking to reservations based on castes, which needs to be completely abolished.
