The Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Tuesday arrested Hyderabad-based businessman Arun Ramchandran Pillai in connection with the alleged scam in the Delhi liquor policy. Arun Pillai is an accused in the case and allegedly worked as a frontman for Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao's daughter K Kavitha in a company.

The ED had named K Kavitha in the case chargesheet accusing her of holding a 65 per cent stake in Indospirits, a liquor company.

 

Allegations against Pillai

According to the ED, out of ₹68 crore profit that Indospirits allegedly earned through cartelisation, ₹29 crore was tranferred to Pillai's accounts. ED found during probe that Pillai made a payment of ₹4.75 crore to a TV channel owner and another ₹3.85 crore to Abhishek Boinpally, one of the other accused who was arrested in the case.

He was found to have floated Robin Distilleries Pvt. Ltd. and Robin Distribution LLP whose address was allegedly associated with that of a beauty parlour owned by relatives of TRS MLC Kavitha Kalvakuntla.

Kavitha ni arrest chese danikante, idigo arrest...adigo arrest..idigo proof dorikindi...adigo solid proof ani bediriyadam better emo....unlike other cases, Kavitha ni arrest chesi lopala esthe sympathy vastundi ani aithe nenu anukovatledu...chana bad name vundi maa akka ki local ga...worst name..

Ie liquor scam kanipinche danikante ekuva casualties vunayi.... apparently liquor syndicates in Telangana routed the money to arun pillai and others...local la vunna syndicated kuda bhayapadutunaru...
