Tesla Vision , no Ultra sonic sensors

Hi we received a message saying our Tesla will be built with out ULtrasonic sensors and will temporarily affect the park assist , summon and smart start

Until fully updated 

This is not in the initial agreement , is this normal 

Tesla Vision thing , or are they trying to dupe us

They started this late last year for M3 and MY..  all cars built from Oct last year will not have these sensors

So it doesn’t matter , just go ahead and take the car ?

It doesn’t matter.. you will know if the car has the sensors..  but I doubt it unless you are buying a demo car

that's up to you. tesla says the vision is better than USS and will work better due to AI. We have to see how it really works.

 

They removed radar and used tesla vision to auto pilot. everyone panicked, but tesla justification is that, camera and radar see differently and it's hard to determine which is correct. They think AI is better than hardware and it gets better day by day. well, in reality it did get better, but there are some scenarios where radar would be better. they are bringing back radar (atleast based on rumors).

 

USS kooda they say the car remembers what was in front and behind and will predict the distance to car as you move. i don't know how that works when you park car and leave for night and come back in morning and how it sees what changed in between. also, there will be some blindspots, but they are bringing additional cameras. USS is good, but not necessary unless you have a wife who is dumb or you have kids who are new to cars.
