It is not some retail store to liquidate assets. Assets anni long term untayi like loans, bond investments etc. they will get someone big enough to assume all these assets and liabilities. In case there is no one to buy it that is worst case scenario where they sell the bonds and loans to recover the money, selling them early will only make the situation bad WaMu had $307 billion assets, $188 billion deposits, and over 2,300 branches in fifteen states when it failed. All got sold to Chase for $1.9 billion. Stock went from $13 to $2. WaMu also failed simalrily when people rushed to withdraw $16 billion in 10 days and there was liquidity crunch and finally FDIC took over Quote
