Don’t stress , many pollice in usa are helpful , although many dirty police are there too here. But definitely ratio is better than india. In india, police doesn’t help citizens, they give bj to politicians

Head lights are not in auto mode 

I think the red light on back side  that is constant on during the night time is not on

Brake lights should work irrespective of the main lights, they light up when you step on the brakes… may be all the lights are off..
