SFO-DEL/BOM fly avuthe you don’t need to worry about anything. Manchi flights esinaru B777’s. Not brand new flights but those flights were previously flown by Delta airlines and since then have been leased by Air India. After Tata take over, Air India’s most lucrative route is SFO. We hardly seen any complaints on this sector. I follow air India and aviation on everyday basis and it’s my hobby too. 
 

Actually the flight which you will be travelling have premium economy seats but Air India have not started selling them yet, check out seat guru and other sources to see which rows have these premium economy seats and you can buy them via seat selection. If lucky, you might get one of these seats for economy price…

Lol, I never thought of it this way. I recently travelled to India in Air India. SF to Delhi was a much older flight than Delhi to Hyd. But it's manageable. The service wasn't really a problem like most people point out. Oka couple of hundred ekkuva ayina, get seats at an emergency exit, leg room is not enough for a 16 hour flight.

Which is best for changing date?

Chase Sapphire Reserve use cheste, you can get trip delay insurance. Air India flights update their schedule so much that, you need a card like that, you can change dates once they change the schedule, which they will most likely do. Also, SFO nunchi flight is supposed to leave in the morning around 9. Be prepared for it to take noon or later. They strictly follow IST times.
