Yes he was detained in Boston Logan International airport with 2 B $ not 100 crores, Brajesh mishra (the then NSA of Vajpayee government) release him by speaking directly with authorities in USA

now people will say why vajpayee govt helped him when his party is opposition (does people in india believe the truth or does they believe that BJP is taking revenge on gandhi family.. which one is right stmt). do they have to get him released to let things go under carpet just because of people's perception is so good for Gandhi family in India, no one is ready to accept truth which is against Gandhi family
