But you people made fun of our lingo for a very long time, our andhra friends were always  trying to correct our lingo with their " pure" Telugu.

Now the same folks try to speak like us , say TG lingo has some style  swag whatever and the same folks are making reels for bullet bandi, chamkeela angi , 🙂

Movies and art play a significant role in building that cultural identity. And what we are seeing is cultural renaissance and every 3 out of 5 movies being made has something about Telangana in it like a character speaking lingo, or name or a place.

you want to believe this fantasy, because it directly affects you. but originally the TG movement was started by peasants against landowners - the current rulers of TG.

its just that its easy to rile up people on cultural issues like lingos, religion, identity etc. so sure, TG was achieved on the back of those flimsy reasons, but the original intention of TG movement was defeated both with annexation of Andhra (even before it, with operation polo), and with formation of TG by the land owning class.

what is left is bunch of starbucks sipping assholes sitting in the west, claiming TG pride for themselves, while talking trash about any actual resistance from the ground. because 'free market'.

why not just be honest that its a power grab by upper castes of TG, and this 'TG identity revival', is purely to create conditions where the TG ruling castes power is not threatened, both from inside and outside?

why are you, if you are value neutral observer, not even slightly ashamed to celebrate this?

TG is just another feudal state in India, making deals with MNCs, while keeping its population under authoritarian surveillance. some people may think it is the free market. free for the uppercastes to do as they want without any pushback.

TG movement had much loftier, and much more pure goals. Looks like TG uppercastes came into contact with Andhra uppercastes in the united state, and learnt everything about how to control the population without being overtly cruel.

Now both of them spend hours on the internet shouting at each other, over who did a better job, when both are essentially the same assholes. same uppercaste disgusting assholes.

Telangana has its own deities/symbols, its own festivities, its own socio and cultural aspects/problems different from Andhra  or any other region. This does not mean disrespect to the 'others.' It is only to represent the very roots of Telangana. Unlike in the past where respecting Telugu culture meant demeaning Telangana culture, this new effort is a welcome change.
