It takes energy to run such mega projects...China is trying to occupy resources in Russia now that they are sitting next to a geographic goldmine. I don't think the world will keep watching if that happens

Chinese high speed rail is for political domnance.. they want to control all the provinces like Tibet ..xinhao and flood it with han Chinese and completely occupy them..it was never meant to be profitable..

China's infra is internal to China. Once people don't find use, it's as good as dead and a big blackhole.

US defence is globally used...not much to compare here. If US military is losing money badly they will start using it in other countries, that's how it works

That may be part of the plan but it's imploding ... these provinces are desertified lands and anything beyond these provinces lie huge countries. So China has not much to gain. At max they can get Siberia, Manchuria etc but again .... Mongols and Muslims

This exactly how we lost ladkah provinces to Chinese and still losing.  This kind of assumption they are dry lands ..they play huge role in political dominance and towards expanding the territory.mwho knows what resources are under this mountains
