China mostly fortifies border areas when they are fighting a bigger war against US. Once the war is over they leave. But it doesn't really show any dominance. 

India officially lost sparse land but real dominance means Russia-Ukraine kind of occupation. China doesn't have the balls to get Taiwan, and it will never happen.

Agree. high speed rail, even airlines sometimes most of the times for middle income to low middle countries like China and India ki just status symbol. 

 

Western countries and Japan etc with higher income, cost of operation is less in comparison(adjusted for PPP).  So they can afford with lower ridership.

Airlines have tremendous potentialaity in india 

but bullet train needs doesn’t have much use

China's development is only is cities, rural china is way worse than India

Chinese govt is rich (or appearing rich), there is no internal consumption and population is dropping fast

China is a disaster on many fronts

every country in the world now hates China and setting up strategies to decouple from chinese imports

5 yrs from now China can only go down never to rise again, so it needs wars just like US did to regain its dominance

it has to be Taiwan or India, one for sure within next 1 yr

while China was building these, we spent proportionately more amount on freebies encouraging stupidity

a farmer should be incentivized for growing crops that are in demand, not growing the same stuff that reduces the prices by over supply

rythu bandhu, fooku bandu schemes are only good as long as they lift them out of poverty not depend on state forever

losers are made with above policies
