Problem with change in perspectives in just few months... I'm sure when they started this few months ago , they didn't realize it will blow up on its face. That was the time many companies were actively trying to appease LGBTQ community.

Public perception changed IMO... LGBTQ went from " leave us, don't harm his" to " demanding special treatment in every way" and " insulting those who don't how to use the proper pronouns" ...

Because they are demanding now... Companies who are weary of public perception started acting... Small % of employees started influencing the company decisions - either voluntarily or just to improve public perception.

One guy is apparently "gender fluid" , decides and dresses like one on that day after waking up.

He also updates his pronouns in slack and email signature.

He got offended for handful of people who didn't see his " today's pronoun " and addressed him wrongly.  He complained to HR that these people caused him so much pain that he is taking few days off to recover and threatened to go to public. 

Poor HR somehow managed to calm him down. This is last year.
