You can't do 2 full times simultaneously unless you have HRs from 2 companies approve it.

Today, I got a call from my previous employer who I resigned a month ago. It is a big bank, the person asked me if I was working for another consultancy firm at the same time and asked about what type of work I did. She didn't believe when I said it is a freelance work and she said it is IT related and she said I am working full time based on the payroll amounts. I am afraid and not sure what to do now? Do they take legal action? anyone encountered this?

You are in India? Not possible for them to know in USA
