Hindu Mahasabha leader Narayan Bhaskar Khare who had called Jawaharlal Nehru in 1959 , " ...  an English by education, a Muslim by culture, just born as a Hindu by accident ", had blamed Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel for his exit from the Congress. 

He had also called Subhas Chandra Bose " a puppet in the hands of Mahatma Gandhi ".
