Do's:

-Buy a home where your house payment is less than or equal 25% of your take home pay. 

- Go for 15 year mortgage. 

- Target for 20% down payment or more. 

- LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION is very important. Good school district also if you have kiddos.

- Try to go with quality builder. 

Dont's:

-  Do not buy homes in poor school district.
