I never understood why we have to play national anthem in a movie theater.. it is not a public event.. schools and public events are fine.. but why movie theaters?

If you can do paper cuttings in theatre and ruin experience for other people who watch movie,

Who said that is correct? That is wrong too.. 

Independence Day ki, republic day ki konchem ads ichhi public functions cheyyachhu… we used to attend these events at the municipal office or at my fathers office every year when we were kids..

the prob is playing national anthem means everyone is expected to stand up and show their respect. so in a way ur being forced to publicly display ur respect there when you just came to relax with you family or friends.

if there is no expectation to standup and publicly display respect, then much of this protest would not be there.
