Before 2000's it was 100% genetics..... Genetics is always 100% sure shot..... If both your parents are tall you will also grow tall..... Pizza, Burgers etc. Mana 90's zamana lo gisuntivi unte manam kooda 6ft and above untunde. 

My dad is 5'9 and my Mom is 5'4 But I also only grew 5'9

I know a brahmin pottipotato couple Husband is 5'2 and wife is 4'10. 

They had 2 kids and feeded them with all the western food possible (Beef, Steak, Hot Dogs, Pepperponi, pork, etc)

one kid is 5'10 and other is 6 foot now.

Food and sports is now the main reason for height...... Chinese lo kooda if you notice the new generation kids are not that typical short asian anymore....Most Chinese are growing taller than us even though their genetics are shorter than Indians historically... Majority of the 90's and early 2000's Chinese kids are growing minimum between 5'10 to 6'2
