Why so many GC’s are getting cancelling?

I see there are lot of posts on Facebook about green cards getting cancelled, especially for PD’s 2014. What’s happening ?

Hi 

Asking for a friend. He received green card last year October . His priority date was June 2014.
Now uscis is canceling his greencard in 30 days stating that when it was approved date was not current . they ask that he can appeal . Now what are his option his h1 was expired last year December. Now what are his options Thank you in advance

If not current and by mistake he received then it canceled?

I think ur suppose to notify uscis if u received gc when ur date is not current. Assalu current lenappudu gc ivvadam uscis thappu kooda. Mistake on 2 sides
