SELEX Sistemi Integrati, a Finmeccanica company, signed a contract with the Indian company BEL – Bharat Electronics Limited – to supply air traffic control systems to the Indian Air Force.

The contract, whose value is 52 million Euros, will grant the delivery of thirteen ATCR33 S primary radars, thirteen SIR S secondary radars, and 52 consoles CDS 2000 for the equipment of the control centres. The radar systems will be delivered within three years, starting from the contract signature.

The partnership between SELEX Sistemi Integrati and BEL dates back to 2003, when the Finmeccanica company supplied the Indian Air force with twelve radar systems for air traffic control. The agreement finalised with BEL, reinforces SELEX Sistemi Integrati’s leadership in India, where the company has been present since 1972 with its own radar systems.

Last March, again in the ATC field, SELEX Sistemi Integrati signed a contract with Indian Airport Authority to provide the new airports Bangalore and Hydarabad with air traffic control systems.
