Friend wants to use gift deed instead of sale deed. Which one I should choose? Don’t want to have any issues with taxes or anything else in the future

mention it as u purchaed for 200$ as car has lot of problems and u get ti fixed done

I don't think it's gonna fly unless you both are related by blood. You have to pay taxes based on the DMV's estimate
