It started with max Mueller and his time line for vedas and the rigvedas dating. he essentially said that vedas originated in the west and traveled to India bringing their rituals/hymns/sacrifices/worship of fire through the aryan invasion theory.

So all the associated stuff traveled with them including Sanskrit along with the earlier thought of timeline for the Mahabharata war. All of this is not really supported by any hard science just that earth was 5000 years old and everything else flowed from there, what ever didn't fit was called a myth or stories for the Indians.

There were philology and indology studies in modern day Austria- Germany and pretty much everything had western origin or western reasons for their existence according to their research. Now that Aryan Invasion thoery is nearly junked, people cooked up evidence they just cooked up based on language or the closeness of it. That is how they came with a new language called Avestha in Iran which they say is also based on Sanskrit but developed differently, but India just took the same sanskrit and lived with it or atleast that is the theory of it.

All the earlier researchers who have done the same reading, will try to support their findings or fight any change to it tooth and nails.

This is trash. West didnot have civilizations i think when first rig veda was written down.

that is because Indian authors started their research and used the western ones as a source, they didn't cross verify or try to check wherever there might be some contradictions with local folklore and narrations. Anything from the west was seen as unvarnished truth. Can be colonization or even reverence, which we see mostly even today.

That is why aryan invasion theory came into prominence, even though it had some really big holes in the theory itself. Some of them are course correcting with Aryan migration thoery, but soon that will be buried as well with dna combo with some historical sites like Sanauli research going on.

Maverick19 bhayya,

I am not saying what max mueller wrote as true. I am only saying max mueller wrote something with the west as primacy and that has been copied down by the later scholars either from west or even indian ones through rote learning and doing the same research and trying to strengthen his theory.

There wasn't any independent research to cross check any of his claims and if anyone attempted them they were shut down as trying to re-write history.

Only recently have they poked various holes in the Aryan Invasion theory and also in various other cultures like Egypt/pyramids also they have challenged the western narratives with proofs.
