The best and only practical tests are for diabetes and hypertension as these are most predisposing factors for stroke and many including normal pressure hydrocephalus and also indicated in alzheimer's for many neurological diseases there is very little prevention apart from the above mentioned but the thing is to identify early signs of diseases like alzheimer's , parkinson's ,multiple sclerosis , huntington's if there is family history of the above diseases then genetic tests can be suggested but best is to control hypertension, diabetes if present and adequate age appropriate physical activity is the best we can do 1 Quote

Pain will be worse when radiates to head almost just above eye. Any non invasive treatment options ? i am not an expert but as far as i know occipital nerve block which is injecting anesthetic to the branches of greater occipital or lesser occipital nerve is the first line of treatment which is almost non invasive or you may say slightly invasive as the nerve is very much external in addition to it glucocorticoids can be given nerve block provides temporary relief so injection for every 6 months is better options when used with glucocorticoids if the nerve blocks are not effective then the gabapentin or pregabalin can be given but these are not studied for this condition Quote
