Konebhar6 Posted June 7, 2023 Report Posted June 7, 2023 I am thinking buying a Villa in a good gated community in Hyderabad for yearly visits and may be permanent move in 8 yrs. Around 2-3 cr. Need a good location. Not a place that will become too crowded later. Better to buy now or later ? Is it good to rent this after buying. Any personal experience renting villas? Quote

Buying a villa to rent it does not make much sense. I get that. Few reasons why I am considering buying the house now vs later. 1. Will use it for a month or two when ever I visit india with my family. 8 yrs down the lane property prices will be crazy. It may be a better option to buy a plot but safeguarding plots is very tough these days. Hence the dilemma. Quote

Konebhar6 Posted June 7, 2023 Author Report Posted June 7, 2023 Parents are living in the house they build in Hyderabad. They will not move from there. Got comfortable and also good neighbors to help. All amenities near by. But the house is old, less light and wont let me upgrade. We all love each other but they wont budge for any changes. Its getting difficult for my kids to live there when we go coz of noise, light and buzzing with businesses and not the same neighborhood anymore. Its a place where I grew up and enjoyed but its not the same place now. Hence thinking of a Villa in a place where it wont become slum in the future. Quote

When you visit India rent furnished apartment 2. Buying Villa in advance and managing dula teeripodi. Save money in lands, Fixed Deposits, safe tech stocks, Gold. When you are ready to move permanently liquidate and buy. Quote
Konebhar6 Posted June 8, 2023 Author Report Posted June 8, 2023 My preference is to keep it for us when we go yearly. Not too extravagant but decent amenities. When we decide to go back, we can upgrade. The reason I prefer a villa is for neighborhood. The neighborhood where I grew up is like slum now. Even chaitanyapuri which was a great neighborhood for families is now business adda and too crowded. Lets say my plans change and I have to keep villa vacant, its better to rent it out. That's why asking if anyone is doing that. Quote

Haven't thought about point 1. How much do they charge for renting a furnished apartment for a month or two. Are there short term options like this? I have not heard. If they are, its a great option. Thanks. Quote
