Friend situation with a Full time he recently applied

Friend applied for a full time position thru a 3rd party recruiting team 

2 days after his resume was submitted to client , this position is no longer visible on client careers portal and the LinkedIn job posting says no longer accepting applications 

 

what does this mean? Someone is already hired?
