Ryzen_renoir Posted June 12, 2023 Report Posted June 12, 2023 These are distributed based on population , area size , revenue deficit and difference of percapita income below national average , etc It makes Sense that poorer states get more funds than richer ones but these funds come with no strings attached to these states These lucha states use the money to hike govt employees salaries and freebies. There is no reason why bihar state govt employees should be getting half the salary of TN govt employees when TN per capita income is 5 times more than bihar There should be compulsary reforms for states which receive more funds than what they pay Quote
